Fundraising

Acre is a skilled and passionate group of recruiters with interests across a range of charities. Our staff support these individual causes through fundraising and involvement, and the Acre Foundation pledges to match staff fundraising up to a total of £100.

Past fundraising:

  • December 2012: Acre raised £180 for Cool Earth, £140 for the Octavia Foundation, and £115 for EDGE with our Christmas e-card campaign
  • November 2012: Lydia raised £840 for War Child by doing a skydive from 10,000 feet and running 3 half marathons
  • August 2012: The Acre Team raised £119.50 by baking Olympic-themed cakes and a further £196 with our Olympic sweepstake. All funds raised were donated to Cool Earth
  • July 2012: Raina raised £350 for Cancer Research UK by running the ‘Race for Life 10k’
  • July 2012: Simone raised £27 (plus £27 pledged by the Acre Foundation) for Save The Children with a bake sale
  • April 2012: The Acre Team raised money by holding our own ten-pin bowling tournament The winner (Lydia) chose Octavia and EDGE as the recipients of the funds raised.
  • January 2012: The Acre Team raised £131.50 (+ £100 pledged by the Acre Foundation) for Cool Earth by having a charity auction of unwanted Christmas presents
  • November 2011: Norman raised money for Movember by growing a rather dapper moustache.
  • July 2011: The Acre Team raised money for Save the Children by baking and selling cakes in the office
  • April 2011: The Acre Team raised money for the British Red Cross by having a sweepstake on the Grand National
  • March 2011: The Acre Team raised money for the New Zealand Red Cross by having a bake-off
